Description

These Valentine Chocolate Covered Pretzels for kids are a delightful blend of sweet and salty. They’re perfect for any festive occasion with their irresistible chocolate coating and fun toppings! Simple to make and great for sharing or snacking, they’ll be a hit with kids and adults alike!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces (226g) semi-sweet or white chocolate (two 4-ounce bars), finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil or coconut oil
  • 4 cups pretzels
  • optional: sprinkles for topping

Instructions

  • Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • Melt the chocolate and oil together. Use a double boiler or the microwave. If using the microwave, combine the chocolate and oil in a medium heat-proof bowl. Microwave in 20-second increments, stirring afterwards, until smooth and melted.
  • Dip a pretzel into the melted chocolate. Lift it out with a fork and tap the fork against the bowl to remove excess chocolate. Use a toothpick if needed to help slide the pretzel onto the prepared baking sheet. Add sprinkles on top while the chocolate is still wet. Optionally, drizzle leftover melted chocolate over the coated pretzels using a squeeze bottle if desired.
  • Refrigerate the pretzels for about 20–30 minutes until the chocolate sets. Once set, store the chocolate-covered pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks.

Notes

Ensure the chocolate is thoroughly melted for a smooth coating.
Top the pretzels immediately after dipping while the chocolate is still wet for better adherence of sprinkles.
