Ingredients

Instructions

  • Whisk dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  • Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add wet ingredients and mix until smooth.
  • Combine dry and wet mixtures but do not overmix.
  • Chill dough for at least one hour.
  • Preheat oven and prepare baking sheets.
  • Roll out dough and cut into shapes.
  • Bake until edges are golden.
  • Cool cookies and prepare frosting.
  • Decorate cooled cookies with frosting and sprinkles.

Notes

Chilling the dough prevents cookies from spreading too much during baking.
