Instructions
- Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg; set aside.
- Beat butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy.
- Add molasses, egg, and vanilla; mix until combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients; mix until just combined.
- Scoop dough and roll in sugar; chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake cookies for 14-16 minutes.
- Cool the cookies on a wire rack after baking.
- Prepare cream cheese frosting by beating butter and cream cheese; add powdered sugar gradually.
- Pipe frosting onto cooled cookies; decorate as desired.
