Instructions
- Whisk warm milk, 2 tbsp brown sugar, and yeast; let sit for 5 mins to foam.
- Add remaining brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, salt, spices, and 1 cup flour; mix until combined.
- Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
- Knead dough for 6-8 mins until smooth and elastic.
- Let dough rise in a greased bowl for about 2 hours, covered, until doubled in size.
- Prepare the filling by mixing softened butter and molasses; combine brown sugar with spices in a separate bowl.
- Roll risen dough into a rectangle, spread filling, sprinkle spice-sugar mix, roll into a log, and cut into 12 pieces.
- Place rolls in a greased pan, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 25-28 mins until golden.
- Cool rolls, then frost with a mixture of cream cheese, butter, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla.
