Description

This Shrimp and Crab Dip is a creamy, flavorful appetizer featuring shrimp, crab, and savory cheese. It’s quick to prepare and ideal for any event, promising smiles all around!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb extra small shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tail-off
  • 6 ounces canned lump crab meat
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Colby jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped fine
  • 1/4 cup green onion, sliced
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp lemon zest

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  • Chop shrimp into small pieces and press excess moisture from shrimp and crab using paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and cheddar until smooth.
  • Fold in red bell pepper, green onion, Cajun seasoning, and lemon zest until combined.
  • Add shrimp and crab, fold gently to mix.
  • Transfer mixture to the baking dish and top with Colby Jack cheese.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until hot and bubbling, with the cheese golden brown.
  • Garnish with green onions and serve warm with dippers.

Notes

Avoid overcooking shrimp; they will cook while baking.
Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature for easier mixing.
You can prepare the dip a day ahead and refrigerate before baking.
