- 1 lb extra small shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tail-off
- 6 ounces canned lump crab meat
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Colby jack cheese
- 1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped fine
- 1/4 cup green onion, sliced
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp lemon zest
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Chop shrimp into small pieces and press excess moisture from shrimp and crab using paper towels.
- In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and cheddar until smooth.
- Fold in red bell pepper, green onion, Cajun seasoning, and lemon zest until combined.
- Add shrimp and crab, fold gently to mix.
- Transfer mixture to the baking dish and top with Colby Jack cheese.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until hot and bubbling, with the cheese golden brown.
- Garnish with green onions and serve warm with dippers.
Notes
Avoid overcooking shrimp; they will cook while baking.
Let the cream cheese soften at room temperature for easier mixing.
You can prepare the dip a day ahead and refrigerate before baking.
