Description

Sautéed carrots are a delightful side dish packed with flavor and vibrant color. Butter and garlic elevate the natural sweetness of fresh carrots, making this easy recipe a must-try for quick dinners or healthy meals.

Ingredients

  • Carrots (1 1/2 lbs)
  • Water (1 1/2 cups)
  • Butter (1/4 cup)
  • Salt (3/4 teaspoon)
  • Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Garlic (1 teaspoon, minced)
  • Fresh herbs (1 tablespoon, like parsley, dill, or chives)

Instructions

  • Peel and slice carrots into ½-inch thick pieces.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add water and bring to a boil.
  • Add carrot slices, cover, and steam for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in garlic, salt, and pepper; simmer until water evaporates, about 5 minutes.
  • Sauté carrots in buttery sauce until golden and tender, about 5 more minutes.
  • Toss with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

For dairy-free, substitute coconut oil for butter.
Overcrowding the pan may hinder even cooking; consider batches.
Add a splash of vinegar for an extra flavor boost.
