Description

This Pretzel Toffee brings together crunchy pretzels, rich caramel, and silky chocolate for a delightful treat that’s perfect for any occasion. It’s simple to make, irresistible in flavor, and a joy to share with friends and family.


Ingredients

  • About 88 pretzel snaps
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • Chopped pecans, colorful sprinkles, or flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  • Arrange the pretzel snaps in the pan in rows.
  • In a saucepan, combine dark brown sugar, butter, and sea salt, and melt over medium heat.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly for about 3 minutes, until it thickens and turns amber.
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and pour over pretzel snaps, spreading evenly.
  • Bake for 5-6 minutes until caramel is bubbling.
  • Let cool for 2 minutes then sprinkle chocolate chips on top and spread once melted.
  • Add desired toppings, let cool completely, then break or cut into pieces.
