Description

This hot dog chili is a quick, flavorful dish that transforms ordinary hot dogs into a delicious feast. With lean ground beef, vibrant tomatoes, and spices, it’s perfect for cozy nights or lively gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 ½ tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 12 teaspoons white sugar
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • Brown the meat with diced onion and minced garlic until fully cooked and translucent.
  • Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and spices. Season according to taste.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes.
  • Serve over hot dogs and add toppings as desired.

Notes

Use lean ground turkey for a lighter version.
