- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, finely grated
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely grated
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
- Toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a bowl.
- Pat shrimp dry, season with salt and pepper, then cook in heated oil for 1-2 minutes per side until pink.
- Remove shrimp and pour sauce mixture into the skillet, cooking for about 3 minutes until syrupy.
- Return shrimp to skillet, tossing in the sauce for an additional 1-2 minutes until glazed and caramelized.
- Serve warm, topped with scallions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Allow shrimp to come to room temperature for even cooking.
For a spicy variation, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
