Description

These heart palmiers are not just visually appealing, but they also offer an irresistible flavor thanks to buttery puff pastry and sweet caramelized sugar. Perfect for a quick treat or special occasion, they guarantee a delightful experience with every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups white granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 bag white chocolate melting chips
  • ¾ cup Valentine’s nonpareil sprinkles

Instructions

  • Combine sugar and salt in a bowl and mix well.
  • Prepare the dough by sprinkling sugar on the surface, place the puff pastry and add more sugar on top, gently pressing it in.
  • Score and fold the dough to create layers resembling a book.
  • Chill the folded dough in plastic wrap for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Slice the chilled dough into ½-inch pieces and place them on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes, flipping halfway for even cooking.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave until smooth.
  • Cool the palmiers on a wire rack, dip in melted chocolate and decorate with sprinkles.
  • Store or enjoy your heart palmiers!

Notes

To avoid soggy pastries, ensure that you press the sugar into the puff pastry well.
Use cold puff pastry for the best texture; consider chilling it for a few minutes before use.
You can prepare the dough ahead of time and store it in the fridge for convenience.
