Description

Ground Beef Stroganoff is a comforting and flavorful dish that’s quick and easy to prepare, featuring tender beef and creamy sauce over egg noodles. Ideal for weeknight dinners!


Ingredients

  • Ground Beef (90% lean)
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Butter
  • Shallots (finely diced)
  • Mushrooms (sliced)
  • Demi-Glace
  • Heavy Cream
  • Sour Cream
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Fresh Parsley

Instructions

  • Brown the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
  • Sauté shallots in the remaining grease for about 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • Add mushrooms and cook until they release moisture, around 3-4 minutes.
  • Incorporate demi-glace and bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream and sour cream, then fold in the cooked beef, warming through for 1-2 minutes.
  • Season to taste and garnish with fresh parsley before serving over egg noodles.

Notes

Make sure to not overcrowd the pan while browning the beef to avoid steaming.
For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey for the beef.
