Ingredients
- Ground Beef (90% lean)
- Salt and Pepper
- Butter
- Shallots (finely diced)
- Mushrooms (sliced)
- Demi-Glace
- Heavy Cream
- Sour Cream
- Dijon Mustard
- Fresh Parsley
Instructions
- Brown the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
- Sauté shallots in the remaining grease for about 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Add mushrooms and cook until they release moisture, around 3-4 minutes.
- Incorporate demi-glace and bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and sour cream, then fold in the cooked beef, warming through for 1-2 minutes.
- Season to taste and garnish with fresh parsley before serving over egg noodles.
Notes
Make sure to not overcrowd the pan while browning the beef to avoid steaming.
For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey for the beef.
