Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water (105°-110°F)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • ⅓ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt (divided)
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • Mix together warm water, sugar, and yeast; let sit until frothy.
  • Combine olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic, and ½ teaspoon salt.
  • Pour seasoned oil mixture into yeast mixture; stir to combine.
  • Gradually mix in flour until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Transfer to a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 450°F and prepare muffin tin with oil.
  • Scoop dough into muffin cups; dimpling the tops.
  • Brush tops with remaining seasoned oil and sprinkle with salt.
  • Bake for 11-14 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
