Description

These Fall-Apart Tender Crockpot Apple Pork Chops deliver delicious flavor and effortless preparation. With juicy pork, sweet apples, and spices, this hearty dish is perfect for a comforting meal that feels homemade yet is quick to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 to 6 boneless or bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 large apples, cored and sliced (granny smith or honeycrisp work well)
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 cup apple juice or apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tablespoon water (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  • Season the pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Spread the sliced apples and onions evenly across the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Arrange the pork chops on top of the apple and onion layer.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the apple juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon, then pour the mixture over the pork chops.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours, until the pork is tender and cooked through.
  • Optional: For a thicker sauce, transfer the pork chops to a plate. Stir the cornstarch and water together, then mix it into the cooking liquid. Cover and cook on high for about 5 minutes, or until thickened.
  • Serve the pork chops with the apples and onions spooned over the top, using the sauce as desired.

Notes

For best results, choose apples that are tart to balance the sweetness of the brown sugar.
The optional cornstarch and water mixture can be added at the end for a thicker sauce.
