Description

This creamy Alfredo sauce is simply irresistible, featuring rich flavors from butter and parmesan. It’s perfect for a quick and comforting dinner that anyone will love!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • up to 1/4 cup hot milk (optional) or pasta water
  • 1 pkg fettuccine noodles – cooked to package directions
  • freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat and add the minced garlic. Let simmer for just a minute.
  • Stir in the cream and half and half, whisking until fully incorporated, then bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Add the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, whisking to combine.
  • Incorporate the Parmesan cheese, stirring until it melts completely into the sauce, avoiding stringiness.
  • If needed, whisk in small amounts of hot milk or pasta water to achieve desired sauce consistency.
  • Combine the finished sauce with cooked fettuccine noodles and garnish with parsley if preferred.

Notes

For a thinner sauce, add more pasta water or hot milk.
Make sure to use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
Garnish with extra cheese if desired.
