- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream

Instructions
- Finely chop the chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.
- Warm the cream over medium heat until it simmers, then remove from heat.
- Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let sit for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir the mixture until smooth and glossy.
- Adjust the ganache consistency as desired: cool for a glaze, let it reach room temperature for frosting, or beat until fluffy for piping.
Notes
Finely chop chocolate for even melting; avoid larger pieces.
Do not boil the cream to keep the ganache smooth.
