Description

Cajun Chicken Loaded Fries offer a delightful blend of flavors with crispy fries, savory Cajun chicken, and melted cheese. Perfect for gatherings or a cozy dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 28 ounces frozen steak fries
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning, divided
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce, plus more for drizzling
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Chives, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F and bake the frozen steak fries according to package instructions.
  • Drizzle the chicken pieces with olive oil and add 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning. Toss to coat.
  • In a skillet, sauté the chicken over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.
  • Mix mayonnaise, sour cream, milk, the remaining Cajun seasoning, and garlic powder to create a creamy sauce.
  • Assemble by placing the cooked fries on a baking sheet, adding the sautéed chicken, and topping with both cheeses.
  • Bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Garnish with hot sauce and chives before serving.

Notes

For gluten-free, swap fries for gluten-free options.
Using rotisserie chicken can save time and effort.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the fridge.
