- 8 lb bone-in spiral cut ham
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup orange juice (fresh squeezed)
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Cooking spray
- Fresh herbs and fruit for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a baking pan with cooking spray.
- In a saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, orange juice, orange zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook over medium heat until bubbly.
- Place the ham in the prepared pan and pour half of the glaze over it. Cover with foil.
- Bake for 2 hours, then remove the foil and brush with remaining glaze.
- Increase oven temperature to 400°F and bake uncovered for another 15-20 minutes until caramelized.
- Transfer ham to a platter, garnish, and serve.

A meat thermometer should read 140°F for safe serving.
