Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups heavy cream cold
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoon vanilla instant pudding
- ⅔ cup irish cream
- 1 lbs mascarpone cheese room temp
- 27 ladyfingers
- 1 cup espresso
- 2 tablespoon irish cream
- 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine cold heavy cream, sugar, Irish cream, vanilla extract, and vanilla instant pudding. Mix with an electric hand mixer until soft peaks form.
- Add the room-temperature mascarpone cheese and mix until the mixture is smooth and creamy, being careful not to overmix to avoid curdling.
- Prepare a mixture of espresso and Irish cream in a shallow bowl. Quickly dip the ladyfingers in this mixture for 1-2 seconds and lay them in an even layer in a 13 by 9-inch baking dish.
- Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the soaked ladyfingers and smooth it out using a spatula.
- Add another layer of the dipped ladyfingers on top and cover with a thin layer of the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- Transfer the remaining filling into a piping bag with a round tip and create dollops of cream all over the thin mascarpone layer.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the ladyfingers to soften. Before serving, generously dust the tiramisu with cocoa powder.
Notes
Make sure to use cold heavy cream for better volume when mixing.
Do not dip the ladyfingers for too long as they absorb liquid quickly.
This dessert can be prepared a day in advance for optimal flavor.
