Description

This Bacon Jam Salmon is a delightful blend of smoky bacon and tender salmon, featuring a sweet and savory glaze. Perfect for any occasion, this dish brings a burst of flavor to your dining table, making it an ideal choice for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Whole salmon filet (about 2 to 2½ pounds, skin on)
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Kosher salt
  • Black pepper
  • Onion bacon jam
  • Fresh parsley and chives

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  • Place the salmon filet skin-side down and pat it dry. Drizzle olive oil and spread evenly.
  • Combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then sprinkle over the salmon.
  • Generously spread onion bacon jam on top of the salmon.
  • Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until the salmon flakes easily and reaches an internal temperature of 130°F.
  • Let it rest for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley and chives.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, ensure your bacon jam is gluten-free.
Feel free to mix crispy bacon pieces into the jam for added flavor.
You can store leftover salmon in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
